Psalms 27:14 KJV
Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Romans 8:24 The Message
Waiting does not diminish us , any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting.
“God never hurries, there are no deadlines against which he must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves”
Truth is the weight of waiting can be agonizing. To be honest, I wax and wane in my faith and faithfulness. But I have come to gradually embrace the unwelcome but necessary gift of waiting. Whether I like it or not.
I find, both consciously and subconsciously, that essential transformation occurs within me and most importantly my spiritual depths are stirred to new heights and matured more than before; serving as a great step forward, in my duty as a Christian, in my continuous strive towards attaining the whole measure of Christ even while there still remains SO MUCH more that God continues to teach and rebuke within me.
Waiting also enlarges our capacity of hope because as we begin to acknowledge our own inability to perfect ourselves or the world around us, the more our hope is strengthened, expanded to magnify our faith in God.
His plan over our lives is, was and will always be perfect and powerful enough that in His immeasurable wisdom and glory, He stirs HOPE and an undeniable yearning within us for things that we can’t yet see.
Now how amazing is that!If He can do that why then should we trouble ourselves while our only role is to wait and be steadfastly diligent while in that period?
Keep the Faith. At the fullness of time He will deliver. He certainly, will perform.
Remember: The promise always outweighs the procedure
